Astron Bins, a skip bin hire business based at 7 Windale Street, Dandenong, has shared four things households and tradespeople should sort out before booking a bin for a spring clean-up or renovation.

Where the Bin Will Sit

The first decision is where the bin will go. A level, accessible spot such as a driveway or hardstand area is the usual choice, and the space needs to be clear enough for the delivery vehicle to position the bin safely. Overhanging branches, low wires and narrow gates are common obstacles that are easier to deal with before the day of delivery. Anyone arranging skip bin hire Dandenong wide is encouraged to check the spot before confirming a booking, and to ask the local council first if the bin would need to sit on a street or nature strip.

What Is Going In

The second is what the job will produce. A renovation usually creates a mix of timber, bricks, concrete and metal, while a garden clean-up is mostly green waste and soil. Knowing the main type of waste before booking makes it easier to describe the job and order a bin that suits it.

Keeping Materials Separate

The third is how the waste is loaded. Astron Bins recycles timber, bricks, concrete, soil, metal and green organic waste. Where a project produces more than one type of material, keeping it loosely separated on site, rather than mixing heavy rubble through timber and green waste, makes sorting more straightforward afterwards.

Not Overfilling

The fourth is how full the bin gets. A bin loaded above its rim is harder to transport safely. Loading evenly and stopping at the top edge avoids the problem, and for a job that is producing more waste than expected, booking a second bin is more practical than overpacking the first.
