BUCHAREST, Romania, Sept. 16, 2026
BUCHAREST, Romania, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Pluridio, a Romanian technology company developing software solutions for financial institutions, announces that Stéphane Malrait has joined the company as Strategic Advisor. In this capacity, he will advise Pluridio on business strategy, go-to-market strategy, product strategy, market positioning and client engagement as the company enters a new phase of international growth and further develops its financial markets technology portfolio.
Stéphane brings more than three decades of experience at the intersection of financial markets, technology, electronic trading and market structure. He spent almost a decade at ING, most recently as Managing Director and Global Head of Market Structure and Innovation for Financial Markets, after previously serving as Global Head of Financial Markets eCommerce. Earlier in his career, he held senior eCommerce and technology roles at Société Générale and JPMorgan.
"Stéphane brings a rare combination of financial markets experience, technology expertise and a strong understanding of how financial institutions adopt new solutions. As Pluridio expands into new markets and develops its portfolio, his perspective will help us sharpen where we compete, how we position our technology and how we engage with clients. This is a major step in a broader phase of growth for Pluridio, and we expect to share further developments in the coming period," said Marius George Ionescu, CEO of Pluridio.
Alongside his banking career, Stéphane has played a prominent role in international financial markets organisations and industry initiatives. He served as Chairman of ACI Financial Markets Association, a global professional body for financial markets practitioners, from 2021 until October 2025, having previously chaired its FX Committee for more than a decade. He has also served as a Board Member of the International Capital Market Association, a Board Observer at TransFICC and a Board Member at Neptune Networks. He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of the UK Financial Conduct Authority and of Quorum 15.
Stéphane has been a long-standing contributor to industry discussions on market structure and electronic trading. In a January 2025 interview with The TRADE, he described technology infrastructure, data and artificial intelligence as three increasingly important layers supporting productivity and efficiency in financial markets.
"Financial markets are entering a period in which technology architecture, data and artificial intelligence will increasingly determine how institutions compete and serve their clients. Pluridio operates at the intersection of these areas, combining specialist financial markets knowledge with technology designed to integrate into banks' existing technology environments. I look forward to working with the team as the company develops its product strategy, strengthens its international positioning and continues to build solutions around the practical requirements of financial institutions," said Stéphane Malrait.
The collaboration marks an early step in a new phase of growth for Pluridio, as the company scales internationally, expands into new markets and develops its portfolio across sales intelligence, pricing, digital distribution, trading and regulatory workflows. Pluridio expects to announce further strategic developments in the coming period.
Pluridio develops software solutions for financial institutions, focused on the sales, pricing, trading and compliance processes associated with financial markets. Its portfolio includes systems for client and sales intelligence, real-time pricing and margin management, web and mobile trading, regulatory compliance and process automation. Pluridio solutions integrate with banks' existing core banking, Treasury systems, market-data and digital-channel infrastructure, helping institutions improve operational efficiency, client engagement and the digital distribution of financial markets products.
