40 years after "We Are the World" and "Live Aid" raised funds to fight world hunger, Robbins, in partnership with iconic music producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, launched a star-studded music initiative to support his 100 Billion Meals Challenge.

The 1980s had “We Are the World,” written and performed by some of the most popular musicians of the day to draw attention to world hunger. The 2020s have “The Next Verse,” a movement designed to rally the world’s artists and audiences in support of the 100 Billion Meals Challenge. This challenge was launched by Tony Robbins and Nobel Peace Prize Winner Gov. David Beasley as a bold humanitarian mission to end hunger on an unprecedented scale.

“The Next Verse” brings together the universal language of music with the pressing need for action, inviting creators and communities from every corner of the globe to collaborate, perform, and raise awareness for a shared cause — feeding the hungry through creativity.

As part of “The Next Verse” initiative, “Someday has Begun Pt. 1” marks the first release in a series of songs and campaigns. In addition to famed hitmakers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Dr. Dre joined the collaboration to produce the song with contributions by chart-topping artists like Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Duran Duran, Jewel, Usher, Chris Martin, Leona Lewis, Hugh Jackman, and more.

“The Next Verse” began with a live recording at the iHeart Theater on December 16, 2025, with artists and audiences joining live on Zoom. The recording was live-streamed on Christmas Day on iHeart Radio and across all streaming platforms. This is the beginning of an ongoing commitment to move the needle in a meaningful way by once again leveraging the power of music.

Robbins’ popular personal development events are known for teaching people that “the secret to living is giving.” According to Robbins, “Unless you have something you care about more than yourself, you’re going to have problems. There is a unification here because all of us are trying to serve someone beyond ourselves.”

Robbins rose to fame through his transformative personal and business coaching and mentoring programs, but he now leads major philanthropic initiatives. His and Beasley’s 100 Billion Meals Challenge was inspired by soaring rates of global hunger in recent years. According to the United Nations World Food Programme, crisis-level hunger has doubled in the last six years and now affects around 318 million people.

In response, the 100 Billion Meals Challenge, which is already delivering 62 billion meals in just three years, aims to provide 100 billion meals in a decade, tackling the crisis at a scale large enough to close the hunger gap and transform the future of food.

“Hunger is one of the greatest solvable challenges of our time,” said Robbins. “No child should wonder where their next meal is coming from. With enough support, the 100 Billion Meals challenge has the power to reshape the future of food for generations to come.”

“The Next Verse” is more than just a performance. It’s a collaboration featuring live global events like concerts and pop-up shows and exclusive tracks from celebrity artists. It’s also a crowd-sourced effort, allowing fans around the globe to craft harmonies and lyrics and deliver powerful performances that echo across social platforms.

“This is the power of music, the power of unity. We’re making something that saves lives, touches hearts, and lives forever, all over the world,” said Jimmy Jam.

All proceeds from digital music sales, sponsorships, and charitable donations go toward Robbins’ 100 Billion Meals Challenge.
