OTTAWA, ON, May 20, 2026 /CNW/ - On Thursday, May 21, 2026, Catherine Girouard, Managing Director, Banking Capital and Liquidity Standards Division, and Kenneth Leung, Managing Director, Accounting Policy Division, at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI), will hold a technical briefing for media on the measures that will be published during OSFI's second Quarterly Release Day of 2026.

The release items will include:

• Draft Guideline B-2 (Large Exposure Limits) for Small and Medium-Sized Deposit-Taking Institutions (SMSBs)
• Draft Liquidity Adequacy Requirements (LAR) Guideline (2027)
• Draft Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process Guideline
• Draft Pillar 3 Disclosures for Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB)
• Draft Guideline B-12 Interest Rate Risk Management
• Draft Capital and Liquidity Treatment for Crypto-asset Exposures (Banking) Guideline (2027)
• Minimum Capital Test (MCT) insurance risk factors update

OSFI will also provide status updates on the following initiatives:

• Updated Guide to Intervention for Federally Regulated Deposit-Taking Institutions
• Crypto-asset exposure disclosure notice
