FALL SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS INDIANA

INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Picklr Keystone Crossing announced it will host the Special Olympics Indiana inaugural pickleball state tournament on Sunday, September 13. Beginning at 9:15 a.m., 82 individuals from throughout the state will compete for gold, silver, and bronze medals. Picklr Keystone Crossing also hosted the initial pickleball training clinic for Special Olympics Indiana in 2025, when 36 athletes from 12 counties and 27 coaches from 14 counties attended to learn the sport in preparation for their first season of pickleball competition in 2026.

The pickleball championship tournament is just one of nine events scheduled to take place this fall in central Indiana. Equestrian, Softball, Golf, Cornhole, Flag Football, Distance Run/Walk, Soccer, and Unified Volleyball make up the remaining state competitions between August 15th and November 21st, with nearly 3,000 athletes and Unified partners expected to participate in the championship tournaments. Admission to all the events is free.
