Foothills Bible Church Expands "Serve Near" Program, Connecting Volunteers CO community partners

Littleton, United States - July 24, 2026 / Foothills Bible Church /

LITTLETON, Colo. — July 21, 2026 Foothills Bible Church (FBC) today highlighted the continued growth of its "Serve Near" program, a community outreach initiative that connects church members and neighbors with nine established ministry partners providing direct support to children, families, and individuals facing hardship throughout the Denver metro area.
Serve Near reflects the church's belief that meaningful faith is lived out through service to others. Rather than operating a single outreach effort, FBC partners with established, mission-aligned organizations already doing effective work in the community, giving volunteers a range of ways to give their time and talents on a schedule that fits their lives, from a single afternoon to an ongoing weekly commitment.
The program's partner organizations include All-Stars Club, which pairs volunteers with children and adults with special needs for a monthly evening of games, karaoke, and worship; Denver Street School, which provides at-risk youth with quality education and mentorship; and SELAH with Restoration Outreach Programs, a weekly children's ministry serving refugee and inner-city families along East Colfax Avenue.
Additional partners include Days for Girls, which produces reusable hygiene kits for women and girls worldwide through monthly sewing events; Open Door Ministries and Christ's Body Ministries, which provide meals, clothing, security, and practical support to Denver's homeless and low-income residents; Mean Street Ministry, which serves the working poor along West and East Colfax Avenue through street outreach and prayer; and Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC), which operates the Renewed Treasures resale store and weekly IMPACT classes offering coaching, meals, and community to families working toward stability. The church's Neighborhood Prayer Walk rounds out the program, inviting members to pray regularly for neighbors close to home.
"Serve Near exists because we believe community is meant to be lived out in relationship, not just talked about on a Sunday," said a Foothills Bible Church spokesperson. "Our partners are already doing excellent work in this city, and our role is to make it simple for our church family to show up, build real relationships, and meet real needs alongside them."
Individuals and groups interested in volunteering can find current opportunities, schedules, and sign-up information for each ministry partner at foothillsbiblechurch.org/serve-near. Openings range from one-time group service projects to recurring weekly and monthly commitments, with roles suited to volunteers of nearly every age, schedule, and skill set.
