FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Stewards Inc. (OTC: SWRD) (“Stewards” or the “Company”), a diversified financial platform operating across private credit, income-producing real assets and technology-enabled financial infrastructure, today announced that Larry Botel, Jamie DeRevere and Jake Tolkin of JOSS Realty will join Stewards, significantly strengthening the Company's institutional capabilities across real asset acquisition, underwriting, due diligence, asset management and investment strategy.
The addition of the JOSS investment team represents an important step in the continued development of Stewards Real Assets, the Company's dedicated real assets division. The team brings experience across multiple market cycles and investment strategies, providing Stewards with additional institutional capabilities to source, evaluate, execute and manage real asset investments.
JOSS Realty Partners was founded by Botel in 2005. Since inception, JOSS has completed 32 real estate acquisitions totaling approximately 3.4 million square feet and more than $1.2 billion in value. Its investment experience spans core, core-plus, value-add and opportunistic strategies, with a concentration in commercial office and multifamily assets across major U.S. markets.
“Building a top-tier real assets platform requires more than capital. It requires experienced people with the discipline to identify opportunities, underwrite risk, structure transactions and actively manage assets through their entire lifecycle,” said Glen Steward, Chairman of the Board of Stewards Inc. “Larry and the JOSS team bring that institutional experience to Stewards. Their addition materially strengthens our real assets capabilities and provides an important foundation as we continue building this part of the Stewards platform.”
The expansion of Stewards' real assets team is part of the Company's broader strategy to build a diversified financial platform across private credit, income-producing real assets and technology-enabled financial infrastructure.
Stewards views income-producing real assets as a complementary and stabilizing component of that broader platform, with the potential to provide recurring income, tangible asset value and diversification alongside the Company's private credit and technology-enabled businesses.
“We have been deliberate about building Stewards around complementary financial capabilities rather than any single asset class,” said Shaun Quin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Stewards Inc. “Real assets are an important part of that strategy, and bringing Larry, Jamie and Jake into Stewards gives us an experienced team capable of evaluating and managing institutional-quality assets as we continue to scale the platform.”
Institutional Experience Joins Stewards
Larry Botel founded JOSS Realty Partners in 2005 and has led the firm's investment activities for more than two decades. Prior to JOSS, Botel was a founding partner and chief operating officer at Broadway Partners. Earlier in his career, he served as vice president and head of real estate at Fortress Investment Group / UBS Global Principal Group / BlackRock Capital Finance, where his responsibilities included commercial real estate asset management and underwriting across portfolios of debt and equity investments. According to JOSS, Botel has underwritten, negotiated and closed more than $1 billion in property and mortgage loan acquisitions, more than $500 million in distressed mortgage loan resolutions and more than $1 billion in portfolio financings and securitizations.
Jamie DeRevere joined JOSS in 2022 and has been responsible for acquisition sourcing, underwriting and due diligence. Prior to JOSS, DeRevere served as a senior associate at Gazit Horizons, where she assisted in the acquisition and management of approximately $600 million in mixed-use assets in major East Coast markets.
Jake Tolkin joined JOSS in 2025 and supports acquisitions, asset management and financial analysis across the firm's portfolio. Prior to JOSS, Tolkin was an investment associate at SoLa Impact, where his experience included underwriting and asset management for more than 30 active multifamily and mixed-use developments in the Greater Los Angeles area.
As part of Stewards, the team will contribute to the Company's real assets strategy, including acquisition sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, transaction execution, asset management and portfolio strategy.
“Over the past two decades, we have built JOSS around disciplined underwriting, thoughtful capital structures and active asset management,” said Larry Botel. “Joining Stewards gives Jamie, Jake and me an opportunity to bring that experience into a broader financial platform. We believe there is a significant opportunity to build an institutional-quality real assets business that complements Stewards' capabilities across private credit, capital allocation and technology.”
Building a Diversified Financial Platform
Stewards' strategy is centered on three complementary areas:
Private Credit: Through Stewards Business Capital, the Company provides financing solutions to small and midsize businesses across the United States.
Income-Producing Real Assets: Through Stewards Real Assets, the Company seeks to acquire and manage high-quality assets designed to provide recurring income, diversification and long-term asset value. The Company views real assets as a stabilizing component of its broader financial platform rather than as a standalone real estate strategy.
Technology-Enabled Financial Infrastructure: Stewards is developing technology and digital infrastructure designed to support underwriting, risk management, portfolio management, customer engagement and the continued expansion of its financial offerings.
Management believes combining these capabilities within a single platform can provide multiple avenues for growth while creating greater diversification across economic and market cycles.
